Dr. BenavidesDr. Richard Benavides is considered one of the leading surgeons in the country performing Adjustable Gastric Banding procedures. Dr. Benavides is by far the most experienced LAP-BAND® surgeon in the Dallas / Fort Worth region.

He has performed close to 3000 LAP-BAND® procedures and averages approximately 50 cases per month.

As his reputation has grown, his clientele has included patients from many parts of the country. He performs most of his surgeries at Surgery Center of Richardson and Wise Regional Healthcare System, but is also on staff at the Medical Center of Lancaster, Richardson Regional Medical Center, College Station Medical Center, and the TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Benavides is a member of the American Medical Association and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Benavides has helped in the training of bariatric surgeons in Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth, and various other cities across the country.

Dr. FeltsOne of the top Surgeons in the United States, Frank Felts, MD, F.A.C.S. was raised in Houston, Texas. He graduated with top honors from Texas A&M University and at the very top of his class at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He completed his residency training at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas, serving as the Chief Surgical Resident.

Dr. Felts began a very successful general surgery practice in 1988 in Jacksonville, Texas and continued this practice for 18 years. He became a national expert in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. He was the first surgeon in Jacksonville and surrounding areas to perform advanced laparoscopic procedures, including advanced laparoscopic hernia, gastric and colon surgeries. He has performed over 3000 advanced laparoscopic procedures.

Dr. Felts he has joined Lap Band Solutions. He currently performs only LAP-BAND® procedures at the Surgery Center of Richardson, Richardson Regional Medical Center, and True Results Surgery Center of Houston. 

Dr. Felts is a Board Certified General Surgeon. He is a member of the Texas Medical Society and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. MarsdenThe one of the top LAP-BAND® surgeon in DFW , John Marsden, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a native of Mineral Wells, Texas. He attended Texas Wesleyan College in Fort Worth, graduating with highest honors with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. He then completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. As a senior medical student, due to placing in the top of his class, Dr. Marsden was able to obtain surgical externships at Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, St. Paul Hospital in Dallas, and Breckenridge Hospital in Austin. Dr. Marsden went on to complete his surgical training at Texas A&M University hospitals in Temple, Texas, where he distinguished himself by being named chief surgical resident his 5th year.

After successfully obtaining board certification by the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Marsden completed a prestigious Cardiovascular Fellowship with the world renowned heart surgeon, Dr. Michael E. Debakey in Houston, Texas. Dr. Marsden then moved to North Texas and began a private surgical practice.

Dr. Marsden was first certified in laparoscopic surgery in 1990 and has performed over 2000 laparoscopic procedures. He has performed surgery in multiple cities including Houston and Dallas. Currently, Dr. Marsden performs the lap band surgery at the Specialty Surgery Center in Hurst.

Dr. Marsden is a member of countless medical societies including The American Medical Association, The Southwestern Surgical Congress, The American Society of Endovascular Surgery, The American Society of Gastric Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons.

In 2006 he was named " Top Doc " in Fort Worth and the Consumers Research Council of America named him the top bariatric surgeon in the United States.
